Tree City Medical Partners (TCMP) and Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) have announced details regarding a new Family Nurse Practitioner who has joined the staff at TCMP.
Cynthia Meyer-Allen, FNP began practicing under Dr. Mary McCullough on June 1 at TCMP in the DCMH Medical Arts Plaza on North Michigan Ave. A veteran DCMH employee and nurse, Meyer-Allen recently became a Family Nurse Practitioner. She will be seeing patients at TCMP on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Meyer-Allen is an area native, having graduated from Jac-Cen-Del High School in 1996. Since that time she has graduated in 2000 from the Good Samaritan School of Nursing and in 2004 from the Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Most recently she graduated from Ball State University with a Masters in Science and Family Nurse Practitioner.
Over the last nine years she has also been employed at DCMH in the Emergency Department.
Meyer-Allen enjoys the new position and the opportunity to develop closer patient-to-provider relationships. The position allows her to get to know her patients better and spend more time in doing just that. “I look forward to working with all patients in Decatur County and the surrounding areas,” she said.
Meyer-Allen is the daughter of Gerald and Kathern Meyer of Sunman and was recently married to Aaron Allen of Westport. Her siblings include Dave Meyer, Beth Herbert, Jennifer Meyer, Kathy Einhaus and Jerry Meyer. She credits her family with the support necessary to accomplish this goal.
Appointments with Cynthia Meyer-Allen, FNP may be scheduled through the Tree City Medical Partners at (812) 663-7277. More information regarding Decatur County Memorial Hospital and its services is available at www.dcmh.net.
